There are pros and cons with different types of hosting but there isn’t a right or wrong.  It really depends on your business type, business growth, and business need.  Shared hosting means much of the controls/settings are preset and your website is on the same server as other websites, while with VPS and Dedicated servers your website is with more freedom under the controls of the website owner.
